TMA's high school just completed its fourth J-Term (January Term) where students experienced a plethora of unique courses, travel, and internships. The program, instituted to provide students additional "out-of-the-norm" learning opportunities, had students preparing for the SAT, learning to drive, cook, decorate cakes, play sports, be a Godly woman, survive in the wilderness, etc., all while growing in their relationship with Christ.
On Friday, a J-Term luncheon was held to celebrate the wonderful experiences our students had in Costa Rica, Germany and Switzerland, and on internships around the world. Students who traveled to Costa Rica told how they were able to share Christ on a remote island, in the streets of San Jose, and in various youth programs.
The students who traveled to Germany and Switzerland were humbled by a visit to the Dachau concentration camp, exhilarated to toboggan down a mountain, and amazed by the beauty of Europe.
TMA interns shared that experiencing work in the "real world" made a significant impact on their career plans. They repeatedly shared that God used this experience to sharpen their perspective on where He would have them serve Him in the future.
J-Term is just one of the exciting, revitalizing, and educational experiences that TMA offers our students!
