Hurricane Procedures

Dear TMA Parents,

Since we are in Florida, and live with the possibility of hurricanes, we want to review with you TMA’s hurricane related procedures.

-When a big storm is coming, students with outside lockers should take home their school books/supplies/iPads etc. and not leave them in their lockers. Very heavy winds and rains could blow water into the lockers.

-TMA will cancel classes and close the school when Seminole County Schools announce that they are closing

-Please note that TMA re-opens on our own time schedule. We will assess the situation with our school campus and re-open when we feel it is safe for our families and staff. Seminole County Schools usually can’t re-open as quickly as we can because they have so many schools, buses, etc.

-TMA will communicate our school closing and re-opening announcements through parent e-mail, phone messages, Z88.3 radio and four local TV stations: WESH-2, WFTV-9, WKMG-6, and FOX35.
