Annual Praise and Dedication Ceremony
2016 Praise and Dedication Service
On Monday, August 8, the TMA community gathered together for the first time in the brand new Performing Arts Center to dedicate the school year and this amazing facility to the Lord. It was a great night of praise and worship, led by Kyle Carden.
Dr. William Harris, TMA's President, opened the evening welcoming everyone to the official opening of the Performing Arts Center and recognizing all those that worked tirelessly to build, decorate and complete the facility. He went through a presentation of all the new programs and additions for the 2016-17 school year: PAC, STEAM Lab, Newly remodeled library, Preschool, Dining Services, etc.
TMA Administrator Mike Armstrong shared a message about the theme for the year, "Soar Eagle," as the innocent voice of a child read Isaiah 40:28-31 over the loud speakers.
"What a great passage of scripture," Armstrong said. "It is full of encouragement, comfort and hope for those who know and trust the living God ... We have adopted the theme, Soar Eagle, as our spiritual focus for this new school year. It reminds us that our God is bigger than any problem, circumstance or obstacle in our lives. It is a challenge to us to rely on and place our faith in the strength of our God no matter what challenges we face."
"Soar Eagle is the rallying cry for our TMA community of students, parents and faculty to encourage and challenge us to live in the victory that is ours in our great God through the work of His Son, the Lord Jesus," concluded Armstrong.
Junior Nico Huergo led a prayer for all TMA parents, Senior Grace Kearney prayed over all TMA teachers and administrators and Dr. Dana Dionne, Upper School Principal, prayed for all TMA students. Mr. David McFalls closed out the evening dedicating the school year and the Performing Arts Center to our Lord.
Following the program, families were invited to tour the facility, which includes a new band room, art room and the Judi Tome Black Box Theatre.
