New Year, New Programs at TMA!
The Master's Academy started the 2016-17 school year with a great deal of excitement and anticipation of a number of new additions and programs on campus.
Perhaps the most highly anticipated addition to campus this year was the opening of the brand new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center. This two-story, 53,000 square foot building will provide multi-purpose space for TMA students to utilize their gifts and talents for the Lord. The main area of the building includes theatre-style seating for more than 400 with a total capacity of more than 600 people and an oversized stage that sits between two giant projection screens. The PAC is also home to a large art-suite, band room and the Judi Tome Black Box Theatre.
Another addition on campus this year is the Lower School STEAM lab. This unique space will allow students the opportunity to explore our world through the eyes of science, technology, engineering, art and math. The classroom is equipped with 25 iPads, 3 Apple TV's, 2 3-D printers as well as multiple collaborative work spaces. Lower School students will attend STEAM lab twice a week for 35-40 minutes. The curriculum will be based on the 4C's of 21st Century skills: Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking and Communication.
The Master's Academy grew this year by celebrating the grand opening of its Preschool Program, serving K2-K4 in a newly remodeled space on campus. TMA's preschool offers boys and girls (18 months old - 4 year old) the chance to be in a structured Christian setting, with loving staff and safe surroundings. The preschool classrooms are set up to encourage learning through play. For more information on TMA's preschool, click here.
TMA is excited to offer families a new lunch program for the school year with Chef Jennifer Andersen on site preparing fresh and nutritious meals for our students daily. Families have the options to enroll in a semester or annual meal plan, or purchase daily a-la-carte.
We have also expanded to offer after school dining options in the Common Grounds Cafe. Open from 3-5 p.m. every afternoon in the blacktop lobby, the Cafe has sandwiches, smoothies and other snack options. Every Friday morning the Common Grounds Cafe is open early for "Donut Fridays."
