  • University of Central Florida Burnett Honors College Summer Institute
    The Burnett Honors College Summer Institute (BHCSI) is an intensive three-week program for gifted and high-achieving students who have interest in learning the foundations of computer science and computer technology. The program offers a mix of activities designed to maximize learning through hands-on, individualized instruction with outstanding instructors. It is also designed to expose students to broader topics in computer science through the distinguished lectures series where researchers speak about computing from pragmatic and academic points of view.

    When: July 12-30, Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm
    Where: UCF main campus
    Cost: $995-Covers the course, electives, textbooks, materials, ID cards, field trips, speakers, shirt and closing ceremony

  • Governor's School for Space Science and Technology
    Florida Tech faculty members and NASA will be running a summer program for gifted Florida high school students. Applications from rising high school seniors (class of 2010) will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning May 8, 2009.   • Union University: Rising Senior Program
    Are you a rising Senior? Union University’s Rising Senior Program is designed for outstanding high school students who have completed their junior year and want to “try out” college. Offered during the month of June, the intensive summer program allows student the opportunity to earn up to seven semester hours of college credit.
    The Rising Senior Program is designated for selected high school students who:
    • Completed the junior year of high school with a cumulative “B” average
    • Have demonstrated to a principal or guidance counselor sufficient maturity to profit from college work
    • Plan to return to high school for completion of senior year.

  • The University of Maryland Young Scholars Program
    This program targets rising juniors and seniors who have strong academic record and desire to excel and experience college life while earning three academic credits. Program takes place from July 12-31.
