  • 2010 Young Scholars Program
    Florida State University is pleased to announce the 2010 Young Scholars Program (YSP), a residential science and mathematics program for Florida high-school students with significant potential for careers in the sciences, engineering, and health professions. The Young Scholars Program is supported with funding from Florida State University. Program will take place June 13-July 24. Completed application due March 15, 2010.

    The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.

    All-Ink.com is offering up to $5,000 in scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled or planning to participate in an accredited college or university program during the Spring 2010 or Fall 2011 term or full-year 2010-2011 school year.     College Scholarship Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go! College Scholarship recognizes high school seniors who understand and value the limitless possibilities that education can offer with a scholarship award.
    ESSAY QUESTION:
    Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go! delivers an important message about the chances and the troubles that life presents. Thinking about the book, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, what kinds of opportunities and challenges do you think your education will present in the future?
    Compositions are judged by their technical merit. We are looking for writing with a strong, clear voice by authors who are original, creative, and draw clear connections back to Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go!. Compositions should answer the question fully. 1st Place $5,000—One Scholarship Awarded Scholarship award will be made by Random House, Inc. directly to your choice of post-secondary educational institution.   • The FAPSC Scholarship Program allows the student to check on over 600 scholarships in a wide range of programs leading to high skill, high demand careers. The program areas include business administration, computer technology, drafting, culinary arts, management, cosmetology, video film production, recording arts, automotive service technology, allied health administration, paralegal studies, therapeutic massage, medical assisting and other business, health care and technical career fields.
    The FAPSC Scholarship Program has been in existence for over 22 years. Scholarships are made available through FAPSC member institutions. Programs range from short-term diplomas through four year baccalaureate degrees. Scholarships of full tuition, $5000 and $1,000 are offered.

  • George W. Jenkins Scholarship
    This four-year scholarship is awarded to students based on academic merit, financial need and an essay that demonstrates a personal history of overcoming adversity. The award includes tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies and a $1500 stipend per semester. The Jenkins scholarship is a unique opportunity open only to students graduating from high schools in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee who plan on attending the University of Miami.
    Scholarship Criteria:
    • Academics: Minimum weighted GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale and a well-rounded college preparatory curriculum
    • Personal History: Participate in school or community activities, a strong work ethic and a history of overcoming significant adversity
    • Financial Need: High financial need, as determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Prudential Spirit of Community Award
    The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created in 1995 by Prudential in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level.
    The program's goals are to applaud young people who already are making a positive difference in their towns and neighborhoods, and to inspire others to think about how they might contribute to their communities. Over the past 14 years, more than 260,000 young Americans have participated in the program, and nearly 90,000 of them have been officially recognized for their volunteer work.

  • Sam Walton Community Scholarship
    Award for high school seniors not affiliated with Wal-Mart stores. Based on academic merit, financial need, and school or community work activities. Should be a permanent legal resident of the United States for at least one year. For use at an accredited two- or four-year U.S. institution.   • UCF-Honors Enhancement Scholarship
    All freshmen that apply by January 15 are automatically considered for the Honors Enhancement Scholarship. Scholarships are awarded competitively, based on the academic credentials (test scores, high school GPA and class rank) of the applicants who meet the preferred scholarship deadline. The scholarship is $1000 and is disbursed in two equal installments of $500 during the first and second semesters at UCF.
    Note: This scholarship is awarded only during the first year at UCF, and it is not recurring.
  • University of North Florida Academic Merit Scholarships
    The University of North Florida believes that your hard work should pay off. We offer a wide range of merit based scholarships for qualifying students. Many of these scholarships are limited in number so it is important that you apply early. We encourage any student who has applied, considering applying or has been accepted to apply for these scholarships!
