General music instruction begins in kindergarten and progresses through high school. Instruction focuses on vocal performance and technique. The Master’s Voice is the large high school choir, with student participating in festivals and community activities such as the Epcot Christmas Chorale. Lower school students present grade level programs throughout the year. Upper school students perform throughout the community and present fall and spring concerts. Learning to read music is a bonus to the disciplines of a TMA student. The Florida School Music Association reminds us that students who participate in a strong music program can raise their SAT scores by 54 points over classmates with no music education. The gift of music is a powerful tool that God has given to us and a magnificent way for us to be able to worship Him.
