The learning center is a pull-out program available to referred K5 - 12th grade students.
K5
  • Rhythmic writing and tracing (pencil grip)
  • Phonics and Math
1st Grade
  • Phonics - sound/symbol relationship
  • Math - number sense
2nd & 3rd Grade
  • Reading comprehension
  • Writing original sentences to compose a paragraph
  • Math
4th & 5th Grade
  • Organizational and study skills
  • Vocabulary development
  • Reading comprehension
  • Mechanics of writing and written expression in varied paragraphs and genre
  • Test preparation and test taking skills
  • Math
Middle School 6th-8th Grade
  • Transition from lower school to middle school
  • Building a foundation for independence in organization and study skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Mapping of concepts where gaps in learning have been evidenced
High School 9th-12th Grade
Pre-requisite: High school students must have met with their teacher at least twice, prior to admittance to The Learning Center.
